Matt Turner
President
Matt is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and a Senior Audit Manager at KPMG LLP where he has audit experience in various industries that includes energy & chemical, retail & consumer products, and education in both the private and public sector. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Information Systems (ACIS) from Virginia Tech in 2017 and serves as a champion in KPMG’s technology initiative. Matt lives in the Rocky Mount area with his wife and daughter. When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, house projects, and traveling.
Anna Bondy
Vice President
Anna is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and an Audit Manager at Brown Edwards & Company specializing in Not-for-Profit and Higher Education assurance and tax. She earned her Bachelor's in Accounting from Emory & College and a Master's of Accounting and Information Systems with a concentration in Data Analytics from Virginia Tech. Anna lives in Salem with her husband and sweet dog, Cashew. In her free time, she enjoys all things outdoors, seeing live music, and unwinding with loved ones.
Baoxin Bryant
Treasurer
Baoxin is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and an Audit Manager at KPMG LLP. She has extensive audit experiences in both public and private sectors. Prior to KPMG LLP, Baoxin was a senior financial analyst and a finance supervisor in telecommunication industry in China. Baoxin completed her undergraduate studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University and went on to receive her master’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems at Virginia Tech. Baoxin is an avid learner of everything new. She currently resides in Vinton, VA with her husband and their lovely daughter Abby and is expecting their second child. Together they share their love of outdoor activities and exploring the Roanoke Valley.
Justin (JJ) Seymore
Secretary
Justin is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and a Senior Tax Associate at Brown, Edwards & Company. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business and a Master's of Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech.
Janelle Langan
Board Member
Janelle is an aspiring CPA and recent graduate from Ferrum College located in Ferrum, VA, where she was nominated by her professors for the Hamblin Accounting award. She is currently pursuing her CPA license and looks forward to continuing her career and getting more involved in the local community. Janelle loves to travel and spend time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs!
